Well, That Was Fun

Apparently, I am not easily humiliated. You would think posting my weight, and what I eat, on the internets would inspire to me to exercise and get fit and impress everyone!

Guess I don’t feel the need to impress everyone. So, that’s good, right?

Maybe I’m comfortable with my weight and who I am. Maybe I’m lazy (loaded word). Who knows? And who really cares?

I’m happy and I’m not, by any means, dangerously overweight. That’s all that matters.

So, no more posting on Well Past Voluptuous. Which is a shame because I like the template. Very girly. Maybe I’ll change the template on my main blog.

So many options!

Hmmm.

Whatever will I do next?
You’re just on the edge of your seat, aren’t you?

Preoccupied

My apologies for not writing here.  I've been preoccupied this week and my food intake has not been worth mentioning.  I will tell you there's been a lot of wine.  And sleeping.

I'll re-evaluate this project soon.  Right now, I don't have much to share.

155lbs

Sigh.

Apparently posting my weight for all to see is not enough incentive to lose weight. Maybe I’m comfortable at 155? Maybe the fact that Todd thinks I’m still beautiful and sexy makes me feel good, regardless of my weight? Maybe I’m lazy (loaded word)?

Who knows. If getting in a two piece bathing suit in West Virginia was not enough of a kick in the ass to exercise, I don’t know what is.

Maybe I’m just having a bad day.

Workin' My Ass Off!

I got a wild hair and mowed the yard this evening. We’d offered the kids $20 to do the front and back, but apparently not even money is a motivator during the summer. So, Todd and I did it.

And given that it was 75 degrees, I’m guessing we sweated off some calories, huh?

**********

Daily Consumption:

1 Grande non-fat latte
1 apple muffin
1 handful of almonds
1 yogurt & granola
1 glass of cran-apple juice
2 pork chops, 1 baked potato*, big spoonful of veggies
1.5 glasses of wine

* With sour cream and cheese. Because it’s a BAKED POTATO. Blah.

Daily Activity:

Mowed the front yard & median
Pulled weeds
Raked & bagged the grass
Swept sidewalk

Daily Blah

Just an FYI if you’re a chip eater, like me, Tim’s Cascade chips have lower amounts of sodium than most any other bag of chips you’ll find. I had the Hawaiian Sweet Onion potato chips today and I believe there was around 120mg of sodium in the whole little bag.  Compared to all of the other bags of chips, I felt like I'd won the lottery.

**********

Daily Consumption:

Standard tumbler of coffee*
1 yogurt & granola
1 soy sausage patty
1 banana
1 handful of plain almonds
1 turkey & provolone sandwich on 9 Grain
1 bag of Hawaiian Sweet Onion potato chips
1 Snapple Pink Lemonade
2 soft tacos with meat, lettuce, tomato, olives & cheese
1 small helping of Mexican rice

* Except with two Mini-Moo half-n-halfs because we were out of milk.  Poo.  Or moo.  Ha.

Daily Activity:

Pulled weeds for 30 minutes after dinner

153lbs

And this is from the scale that I weighed myself on for WPV’s very first post. So, maybe I lost two pounds over vacation, where I ate pretty much anything and everything I wanted, along with three beers on the 4th of July and two glasses of red wine on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday?

While I didn’t list out my daily intake during my week in West Virginia, let me entertain you with some of the gluttony.
  • Numerous mini Mounds candy bars
  • Sweet tea
  • Chocolate covered marshmallow & graham cracker cookies (my new favorite cookie EVER)
  • Pinto beans, salt cured ham, fried potatoes, cornbread and wilted lettuce (and seconds of everything)
  • Walnut brownies and a piece of chocolate cake (it was a bbq!)
  • Soft serve ice cream from the Dairy King (an M&M Razzle)
I still had my yogurt and granola for breakfast (except for the biscuits and gravy one morning), so I stuck to one routine. Mostly.

But now we’re back and, of course, I am back on a wagon of some sort, so let’s return to our regularly scheduled blog.

**********

Daily Consumption:

Standard tumbler of coffee
1 yogurt & granola
1 soy sausage patty
1 banana
A handful of plain, non-salted almonds
Cheesy pasta with veggie & a dry salad
A Coke*
Red beans & rice with cornbread
1 glass of red wine

* I hit the Diet Coke button, I swear. But I got Coke. Poo.

Hiatus

This may be my last post here for a week.  I could tell you what I eat in West Virginia, but it's not going to be pretty.  And you may lose a bit of respect for me.  And then leave comments like, "Well, no wonder you're not losing weight!"

I don't need that kind of pressure.

I'm going to the country and I will eat whatever my mother sticks in front of me (she mentioned making her newest dish - homemade baked macaroni).  And I won't think about sodium or calories or fat.  But I'll also be out and about more, so here's hoping it all balances.

**********

Daily Consumption:

Standard tumbler of coffee
1 Apple muffin
1 peanut butter granola bar
1 bottle of water
1 yogurt and granola
1 bowl of spaghetti
1 bowl of salad
1 glass of unsweetened ice tea

Daily Activity:

Walk to haircut and back

Dietary Changes

I'm starting to actually like the yogurt and granola stuff.  I think this is probably a good thing.  It will help cut back on the carbs in the morning.

Now if I could just get myself to drink more water.

**********

Daily Consumption:

Standard tumbler of coffee*
1 Apple muffin
1 banana
1 pack of Club & Cheddar sandwich crackers**
1 yogurt & granola***
1 cup hot black tea
1 bacon wrapped prawn****
2 spoonfuls of mac-n-cheese
1 pulled pork sandwich
1/4 cup potato salad
1 glass of red wine
* Not nearly enough coffee today.
** Technically, not a whole pack. There was one defunct “sandwich” that had no cheese. So really, it was just two saltines.
*** Since I had the muffin for breakfast. See? I can balance!
**** Dinner at the Frontier Room

Daily Activity:

Walking many blocks downtown before and after a movie (Eclipse) because we were lost
Tightening my stomach muscles during the movie because
  • 1) I was on the edge of my seat during the fight scenes,
  • 2) Kristen Stewart needs to eat a sandwich and looking at her makes me feel like a cow and
  • 3) would Jacob and Bella finally kiss already?!  Good gawd!!

154lbs

Really?  Still 154?
My scale sucks.

**********

Daily Consumption:

Standard tumbler of coffee
1 yogurt with granola
1 soy sausage patty
1 Club & Cheedar sandwich crackers
Beef, mashed potatoes and broccoli*
Started a big cup of water
1 peanut butter granola bar
Chicken**, green beans and white rice
1 glass of unsweetened iced tea

* Okay, there was gravy, too. But it was a brown gravy, not a sausage gravy, and it was healthy because I work at a clinic.
** Fine!  The chicken was FRIED.  Are you happy now?  Oh.  Is this why I'm not losing weight?

Daily Activity:

Walked to lunch (uphill & down four flights of stairs) and back
